As the global manufacturing industry grapples with pressures such as supply chain fluctuations, rising labor costs, and extended delivery cycles, SSAM has shortened the construction period of an overseas super factory by 270 days by adopting its "building smart factories like assembling LEGO bricks" model.


Europe‘s Largest Standalone Capacity Electrolyte Plant

In December 2023, construction commenced on Europe’s fully automated electrolyte super factory in an industrial park in northern Czechia, planned and built by SSAM. With an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons of electrolyte, the plant is currently the largest standalone electrolyte production base in Europe. Under a traditional construction model, a chemical project of this scale would typically require at least 24 to 36 months to become operational.


However, in just 15 months, the project has already entered the ramp-up phase for mass production, with the overall construction period shortened by over 270 days compared to traditional models. This achievement is a direct result of putting SSAM's "modular smart construction approach" into practice.



From Linear to Parallel Construction Processes

The core innovation of SSAM lies in transforming the traditional linear process of factory construction. Conventional plant building follows a sequential "design–procurement–construction–commissioning" model, where delays in any single phase can postpone the entire project.


SSAM pioneered a 3D approach of "parallel design, manufacturing, and construction," breaking down the entire factory into multiple functional modules that are prefabricated domestically and assembled globally. Core equipment such as mixing reactors, large storage tanks, liquid filtration systems, and NMP distillation systems are standardized, designed, and prefabricated in China, then shipped to project sites for direct assembly. Large storage tanks are manufactured using on-site integrated fabrication techniques, completely eliminating the challenges associated with transporting oversized equipment.



Integrated Software-Hardware Solutions

SSAM Smart Factory delivers not only hardware equipment but also a one-stop solution covering design and R&D, smart manufacturing, and installation and delivery.


Hardware Foundation for Efficient Production:Beyond the custom modular equipment mentioned above, SSAM also provides tailored smart production lines, automatic filling systems, automated tank container unloading systems, and AGV smart handling systems to maximize production efficiency. In the Czech project, highly automated design has reduced manual labor input by 50%.

This system breaks down information barriers across design, production, warehousing, logistics, and other stages, enabling full-process quality traceability and significantly improving product consistency and reliability.
